Gongwer: Senate K-12 Education Chair Expects to Revisit Education Savings Accounts

Education Savings Accounts (ESA) is a code word for universal vouchers. According to an October 31 Gongwer article, the Chair of the Senate Education Committee will be revisiting the current Ohio ESA program to “strike a balance between user convenience and security” (more code words).

ESA is a form of a universal voucher scheme.

Public school advocates need to be on the guard for a major expansion of school privatization during the lame duck session of the 134^th General Assembly.
