Have you heard about the upcoming “Special Election” for special interests on August 8th?

You may be thinking, “But Aftab, didn’t we outlaw August elections just last year?” To that I can only offer that hypocritical politics is business as usual for the Ohio Grand Old Party.

Back in January, Ohio Republicans argued that “off-cycle elections aren’t good for taxpayers, election officials or the civic health of our state” and even passed a law banning August elections in Ohio.
