“One-Size-Fits-All” Rhetoric Pointed to the Public Common School System Actually Fits the Private School Mold
Private schools fit the “one-size-fits-all” label much more so than the public common school system. Private schools are typically custom-tailored to a narrow range of students. Some are custom-made for a particular religious group of students. Others are customized for wealthy students. Still others are made-to-order for private special education schools.
Public schools are designed to accommodate the needs of all the children of all the people. No “one-size-fits-all” here!
