On March 24, 1997 the Ohio Supreme Court issued its first DeRolph decision and ruled that
Ohio’s system of public school funding is unconstitutional. Twenty-five years later, public
education advocates are still at work trying to secure funding legislation that makes a high
quality education possible in every community.
Join us as leaders of those efforts offer a history lesson on school funding and what the
DeRolph case tells us will make funding legal, an update on the recent progress yet
unfinished work of the Fair School Funding Plan, and direction on what we can all do to
secure a lasting solution.
