The Ohio House passed the (most likely unconstitutional) “Indecent Exposure Modernization Act” almost entirely along party lines on March 25, and it now awaits consideration in the Senate.

Under this HB 249, you can’t wear any clothes, make-up, or other “physical markers” considered to be “opposite” of your biological gender. Not only does this bill target drag queens — it threatens all of us because its vague and subjective language gives broad enforcement powers to police.

If you think this bill is a frivolous solution in search of a frivolous problem — especially while ignoring the current climate of high gas prices, low job growth, insufficient public school funding, economic uncertainty, and diminished access to affordable health care — let them know.
