Early voting begins October 6, and aside from voting on Election Day itself, it’s the best way to guarantee your ballot gets counted. If you’ve been following the news, you know the legal landscape for how the USPS will be transmitting our absentee ballots is confusing and can change at any time. For that reason, Ray Lembke, Chair of the Clermont County Board of Elections, encourages people to vote early in-person or on Election Day at their designated polling place. “The other thing I urge people to do this month is go online and verify their voter registration.” The voter registration deadline is October 5. Verifying your voter registration is easy; you can do it here by clicking and bookmarking this link, or by scanning this QR code. You’ll also find early voting hours, our digital slate card, candidate information, sample ballots and more. It’s all in one place. Note: CCDP is organizing early voting coverage for volunteers to hand out literature outside the Clermont County Board of Elections; look for that announcement soon! |
