The campaign to repeal Ohio’s Senate Bill 1 (SB1) has fallen short of the required number of signatures to trigger a referendum vote. The campaign needed to collect approximately 248,092 valid voter signatures, representing 6% of the total vote for governor in the last election, and also needed to gather signatures from at least 44 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

They were unable to meet this threshold in the short amount of time provided. It is worth noting that Clermont County volunteers successfully exceeded the county’s signature requirement, collecting more than 2,700 signatures. To read more, click here
