Last week Governor DeWine betrayed Ohioans when he agreed to send Ohio’s National Guard to Washington, D.C. to participate in a political stunt around a manufactured crisis. His immediate compliance as one of the first states to do this sets a dangerous precedent, one that normalizes the misuse of our Guard for partisan purposes rather than protecting Ohioans here at home.

Ultimately, the best way to push back is by building power locally – from school boards to city councils to township trustees. These are the leaders who make decisions that most directly affect our communities.
