Our mission is to elect strong Democratic leaders. The deadline for filing to run for office in 2026 is Feb. 4. Consider running for one of these offices: Ohio House Districts 62 (Rep. Jeanne Schmidt) and 63 (Rep. Adam Bird); County Commissioner; County Auditor; and Ohio Congressional District 02 (US Rep. David Taylor). Check out the websites for the individuals currently occupying these offices to get a feel for the bills they sponsor, how they vote, and what their messaging is like. For example, if you don’t already receive Rep. Schmidt’s or Rep. Bird’s newsletters, you can get them here and here. Rep. Taylor’s website is here, and you can read CCDP’s recent statement about him here.

Once we have elected strong leaders, we can support them by getting more involved in the day-to-day process of our local governments. For example, councilwoman-elect Deidre Hazelbaker is already sharing tangible ways Loveland residents can become engaged. Read more here about the the board, commission, and committee openings. Click here to apply online, and act fast, because the deadline is Monday, Dec. 1. Clermont County also has vacancies on a number of its boards; check them out here.
