Hello Friends,

We win with serious candidates who work hard. Candidates, thank you for stepping up and voicing our values, offering voters a choice, working relentlessly, and representing us well. The campaign journey is wonderful, challenging, and impactful all at once. On behalf of Clermont voters who want solid citizens elected and normalcy returned, our heartfelt thank you.

  • Milford City Council: Cathy Barney crushed it as the top vote getter.
  • Loveland City Council: Deidre Hazelbaker won! Seven votes separate the 4th seat from the 6th. Sherry Hamlin holds the 4th seat by 2 votes with slate mate Jim Daumeyer in 5th. Mail-in ballots, provisional counts, and an automatic recount are all in play before the vote can be certified.  This tough race went head-to-head with 8 candidates.
  • Batavia Township Trustee: Danielle Wessel earned the most votes from a field of four with two advancing.
  • Democrats defended seats in Stonelick and Williamsburg Townships, Bethel, and New Richmond Village.
  • Several school boards have new or returning members who champion public education. Loveland, Milford, West Clermont, Clermont Northeast, New Richmond, and Bethel have strong advocates onboard.
  • Mental Health Levy passed. This revenue provides much needed funds for all mental health services at a time when federal dollars have been cut and state dollars have been flat for years.
  • Child Protective Services Levy was too close to call and is pending certification.

Many, many thanks to the large group who worked the polls as Precinct Election Officials (PEO), poll greeters, campaigners, message writers, strategists, house party hosts, amplified the candidate’s message, and everything else. We have the organization, grit, and political know-how to win. Our mission is to elect strong Democratic leaders. The deadline for filing to run for office in 2026 is Feb. 4. Consider running for one of these offices:  Ohio House Districts 62 and 63; County Commissioner; County Auditor; and Ohio Congressional District 02.

Thank you for being part of the community and the change you wish to see in this world.

In gratitude,

Patty
