We heard from Melissa Meyer, President and CEO at IPM Food Pantry, at the last CCDP monthly meeting. IPM is located at 4623 Aicholtz Road, Cincinnati, OH 45244, and you can reach them at 513-561-3932. Here are some things we learned:

  • Before SNAP funding was paused in November, IPM served about 400-450 families per week through their drive-through and market. When SNAP stopped, they served about 700-750 families per week.
  • At the same time, volunteers and donations stepped up their support: volunteers increased by 20% and food donations increased by 100%.
  • Because of IPM’s buying power, the best way to donate is money.

They always need volunteers, and there are many ways to do this.
