CCDP is busier than ever, and we are just getting started. More than 35 volunteers engaged with voters at the 175th Clermont County Fair the last week of July. This year we made bracelets with fair goers, which provided a nice icebreaker for parents to talk with us about gerrymandering and meet the candidates. Fair week and the parade proceeding it were both strong events for us. Here’s what else is going on:

  • We have begun engaging with voters at their doors, but we need help. Research shows that talking to voters one-to-one is the single best way to earn votes. Sign up for a day of action below or swing by the office and pick-up a packet to walk on your own time. This is one of our highest priority needs.
  • Our volunteer team is in the process of organizing office hours. Soon you will easily be able to pick up walk lists, postcards and signs. Watch for hours on social media and emails as we finalize this.
  • Check out our updated and improved website! Many, many thanks to Elizabeth Brumbacher and Mark Sund, the two talented volunteers who made that happen.
  • The Fundraising Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug 8. Please join us. We absolutely must raise funds for signs, postcards, print material, and literally everything else.
  • Young Dems Happy Hour on Aug. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and everyone under 36 is invited. Please spread the word to the young Dems in your circle.
  • The next CCDP meeting is Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. Arrive at 6 p.m. for a potluck and to meet your new-found friends. Meetings are open to all Democratic stakeholders as together we make an impact.

Our goals this year include volunteer engagement, voter outreach, improved communication, including the website, fundraising and running candidates. Dedicated volunteers are working everyday to achieve these goals or similar. We need your help, too.

In solidarity,

Patty
