The Clermont County Recorder keeps all vital records pertaining to ownership of real estate and all encumbrances or liens upon it. It’s important work — without the recording, organizing and safekeeping of all real estate documents it would be nearly impossible to purchase land and be assured of a clear title or to lend money with land as security. For instance, because of this office, no one can show up at the house you own and legitimately claim that they can park their mobile home in your backyard.
The County Recorder has your back, in real estate and history. The office keeps records of every piece of land in the county. Records of street and subdivision names, drawings of lots and boundaries, and zoning resolutions/annexations. In addition, they track business partnerships, name changes, powers of attorney, military discharges and so much more!
