What: Democracy is Sweet, Savor the Wins
When: Wednesday, October 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Where: Miami Township Civic Center, Miami Room
Join us for an evening of friends, food and fun. We will gather to nibble some sweet treats (and a few savory ones as well) and meet Ohio Supreme Court Candidate Judge Lisa Forbes, our featured speaker. There will be plenty of wine to drink and even some to win. Don’t worry, there will be a variety of non-alcoholic drinks too. It promises to be a memorable evening with friends from across the region.
How to Help: We will be holding both a wine pull (donated bottles are worth at least $20 each; you pay $20, draw a number, and take home the wine matching that number) and a silent auction/bid & buy.
We could use your help in 3 ways:
- Please donate a bottle (or bottles!) of wine which is (are) worth at least $20 (each).
- Please approach businesses you frequent and solicit a donation for product(s) or services that your or your friends would bid on… some examples could include: liquor or wines, experiences like canoe or bike rentals, etc. (Tracy Jo has set a high bar, having secured the donation of a bourbon tasting experience!), gift cards or certificates, other retail items.
- There is a box in the back storage room at the office, marked for donations. There is a clipboard with paper and pen nearby so you can document what you’ve placed in the box (your name, name of donor, description & approximate retail value of the item(s) donated).
