Christy Jensen We can’t let Trump nominate another SCOTUS justice

(Thursday, March 28, 2:31 PM | By: midemparty@michigandems.com)

  • I’m worried, Team. This week, the conservative Supreme Court heard oral arguments over the abortion drug mifepristone. This is the first abortion-related hearing since SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade , and we are already living through the damaging effects of that ruling.
  • SCOTUS isn’t expected to issue a ruling until July, but we must prepare to fight back.
  • Our job is simple: We cannot let Donald Trump return to the White House where he will have four years to nominate another ultra-conservative, extremist judge to the United States Supreme Court.

Kevin Olasanoye Forget the noise

(Thursday, March 28, 2:49 PM | By: feedback@georgiademocrat.org)

  • Let me start off by saying that I know a lot of us have felt discouraged by sensationalist polls and articles out there that make it seem like we’re in a bad position. In particular, there’s been a LOT made about how Trump’s gaining with Black voters. Here’s the thing, though: the facts DON’T back that up.
  • How are pollsters and pundits telling us Trump could win 25% of the Black vote when only 5% of Black voters in Georgia requested a Republican primary ballot? I’m not impressed by any of that BS.
  • Instead of fretting about any of these disastrously wrong polls and clear misinformation, let’s focus on the plan to WIN in November.

Congressman Sanford Bishop We know what happens when Republicans win.

(Thursday, March 28, 7:11 PM | By: feedback@georgiademocrat.org)

  • Friend, it’s Congressman Sanford Bishop. I’m reaching out because the end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is right around the corner. Will you split a contribution between the Democratic Party of Georgia and my campaign to help us reach our goals and fuel our fight for Democratic progress here in Georgia? >>decades, my district was a reliably Democratic seat. But in 2022, everything changed. I was named a Frontline congressional candidate, FiveThirtyEight said mine was the most competitive House race in Georgia, and I was in one of the toughest races of my time in public office.
  • Now, I’m gearing up for another tough election cycle. Over the years, Georgia Republicans have redistricted my seat, they continue to pass voter suppression laws to restrict access to the ballot box, and national Republicans have and will continue to flood our state with dark money — all in an attempt to erase the Democratic progress we’ve made here in Georgia.
  • After losing critical races in Georgia in 2020 and 2022, Republicans are determined to rollback our progress in this November’s elections.
