Party swears in Precinct Captains, elects Executive Committee |
The Clermont County Democratic Party (CCDP) reorganizes and elects party officers after the primary election in every even-numbered year. The CCDP’s Central Committee members elected in the March 19 primary met last Wednesday, April 17, and elected members and officers to the Executive Committee. Central Committee members (precinct captains) were also sworn in by newly appointed Hamilton County Auditor Jessica Miranda, formerly Ohio House Minority Whip.
Congratulations to our Precinct Captains, and congratulations to our Executive Board officers for the next two years: Patty Lawrence, Chair; Ben Brady, Vice Chair; Carol Ryan, Secretary; and Rich Jordan, Treasurer.
Patty Lawrence discusses vision for Clermont Dems
I am honored to lead the Clermont County Democratic Party for the next two years. Our democratic community may be fledgling, but we have the power to shape Clermont politics for years to come.
CCDP has a big agenda, including:
- Improve our website, newsletter, and social media,
- Create a welcoming environment for volunteers,
- Increase our funding. We cannot effectively fulfill our mission with funds.
Committees are putting much time and energy into these efforts so watch for changes over the coming weeks.
I am asking that everyone reading this newsletter contribute time and money. The new group of elected officers and Central Committee members is energetic, thoughtful and committed but we cannot fulfill our mission without community support. Watch for volunteer opportunities from both CCDP and our candidates. Not only will you voice your values; you will meet many great people along the way.
