Is Your Ohio General Assembly Working For You?
Over the last decade the Ohio General Assembly, also known as the State Legislature, has been illegally gerrymandered into a Republican Super Majority. But that does not render Ohio Democrats helpless. We are hearing from the Democrats serving in the Ohio House that Republicans in the Ohio House are not hearing from opponents to their policies. So the Republicans tell their colleagues no one is against them.
So here’s the deal, all reps are required to log every phone call and email from constituents. We need ALL good Democrats to call or email their state reps and senators every day or every week. Whether your issue is gun safety, reproductive rights, corruption in our government, voter suppression or public education, CALL YOUR REPS! Below is the contact information for Clermont County reps and senator.

Analysis: Ohio’s GOP is about to pull another fast one on redistricting
Once again, the best advertisement for taking Ohio’s redistricting process out of the hands of elected officials is the Republican majority on the Ohio Redistricting Commission. CONTINUE READING
Dark money group running attack ads in Ohio against Sherrod Brown with almost no public disclosures
About a week ago, an ad began airing that criticizes U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, over U.S. immigration policy. The ad itself is about what you’d expect. The narrator crams as many policy failure claims as possible into 30 seconds over stock footage of tent cities and migrant caravans. Although the ad places blame on the senator, it’s careful not to say anything about how voters should cast their ballots. CONTINUE READING
Frank LaRose’s U.S. Senate campaign gets backing from Illinois billionaire who funded push to make it harder to change constitution
An Illinois billionaire who largely funded the failed proposal to make it harder to change the Ohio constitution earlier this year now is helping one of the measure’s most vocal backers in his bid to get elected to the U.S. Senate. CONTINUE READING
WORD FROM THE CHAIR- Raymond Lembke
Yes, our Republican-dominated General Assembly is disgusting, but what can we do? There is an answer to that question. The answer is to run for the General Assembly. All 99 seats in the Ohio House of Representatives will be up for election next year, including the two seats from Clermont County. Also, the seat for the 14th Ohio Senate district, which includes Clermont County, is up for election in 2024. All three seats are currently held by right wing Republicans. CONTINUE READING
