MEET TIM RYAN- OHIO CANDIDATE FOR U.S. SENATE

On Thursday, January 6, 2022 the Clermont County Democratic Party was honored to host Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan running for the U.S. Senate to replace Rob Portman who announced his retirement last year. Mr. Ryan is a passionate Democrat and champion for workers’ rights. “In Congress, Tim has fought for working families in his district and across the country — opposing unfair trade deals that would ship jobs overseas, pushing to raise wages, and working to protect the promise of a secure retirement by strengthening Medicare and Social Security.” There are 301 days until the 2022 midterm elections. WITH INFRASTRUCTURE BILL’S PASSAGE, FUNDING UP TO THE COMMUNITY

Ohio’s Democratic congressional delegation is excited to watch billions of dollars in infrastructure funding come to the state, but where that funding goes now depends on local efforts. The Infrastructure and Investment and Jobs Act, passed in November, will bring needed funding to the state in areas such as water systems, public transportation and broadband, according to the state’s federal representatives. The two now-former mayors running for the Democratic Party nomination for Ohio governor in 2022 announced their lieutenant governor selections Wednesday, with former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley choosing Cuyahoga County Councilmember Cheryl Stephens and former Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley picking state Sen. You will learn the following in this training:

• Understand the steps necessary to run for office
• Explain best practices for choosing which office to run for
• Identify what support you’ll need from your team
• Prepare for sharing your decision to run with friends and family

COVID19 IN OHIO

6,700 COVID PATIENTS HOSPITALIZED IN OHIO

COVID-19 patients continue to strain health care systems locally and across the state and country. There were 6,747 coronavirus patients in Ohio’s hospitals Monday, according to the Ohio Department of Health. That figure represents a 40% increase over the last 21 days. READ MORE
