DEMOCRATIC PARTY Batavia, Ohio - The
Clermont County Democratic Party's Central
Committee voted unanimously on Saturday, July
14th to endorse Len Harding
of Milford as its candidate in the November
6th Election for county
commissioner. Harding will vie for the seat on the county Board of Commissioners that was left vacant by Commissioner Archie Wilson who resigned suddenly amid accusations of illegal activities related to drugs and prostitution. "I am both flattered and honored to be given this opportunity to serve the residents of Clermont County," Harding told the central committee members. He added that he intended to wage an aggressive campaign and propose ideas and debate issues that are important to the county and its taxpayers. "After a series of unfortunate and embarrassing incidents involving elected officials in Clermont County, I believe Len Harding will be viewed as intelligent, reliable and will bring the highest level of integrity possible to this post," commented Dave Lane, chairman of the Clermont County Democratic Party. Lane added that he has been approached by numerous residents from both parties, asking for a "solid and honest" candidate who will offer an independent view and provide responsible leadership on the board. Harding, a retired consultant, technical writer and historian resides in Milford with his wife Sandra.. He is the Father of four adult children (1 natural, 3 step), grandfather of three, and great-grandfather of three toddlers.
