Dora and "The Judge" have been life-long supporters of the Democratic Party and its causes. They were back-bone members of the Quin-T Democrat Club. Pictured is Dora at the 2007 Quin-T Democrat Club Fall dinner. We will miss you Dora. | |

Dora DeTellem (nee Stringer). Loving wife of Charles Jackson. Beloved mother of Gaile DeTellem, Steven DeTellem (Cheryl), Timothy DeTellem (Bonnie), Anita D. Tosun (Atakan), and Michele D. Hanselman (Richard). Sister-in-law of Judith Bright. Grandmother of Todd, Brian, and Travis Walter, Denise Richards, Jamie and Rowdy DeTellem, Meltem Tosun, and Brandon Parrott. Great-grandmother of 14. Stepmother of Karen, Bill, Paula, and Andrew. Step-grandmother of nine. Sister of Dorothy Smith, Robert Stringer, Jane Chaney, Bill Stringer, and the late Raymond Stringer. Daughter of the late Cecil and Mayme Stringer. Dora departed this life on May 3rd, 2008 with her loving family at her side. She was 85. Dora was a woman of noble character, worth far more than precious rubies. She loved compassionately, unconditionally, and fully all souls in her path in this life, especially her family, and she strove for peace and harmony amongst us all. “Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all” Proverbs 31:29. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 7th from 6-9PM at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home 177 W. Main St. (S.R. 125) in Amelia.
