The Redistricting
Amendment Petitions are in Clermont
County!
Let's get the fox out of the
henhouse!
Voter's First is an amendment that puts
a non-partisan commission of Ohioans in charge
of drawing lines for legislative districts.
It’s open. It’s honest. It’s fair. Learn
more at http://votersfirstohio.org/
Would love to have you volunteer
to collect signatures. Clermont County
goal is 6,307 signatures by July 3rd! We
need more signatures for this referendum as it
is to amend the Ohio Constitution and not to
overturn or repeal a house or senate
bill.
Marcia Oganowski is our lead
coordinator for this petition drive.
THANK YOU MARCIA!
To
sign up and help contact Marcia.
The
more volunteers we have the less signatures we
all need to get. If we have 34
circulators who work to get 3 signatures a day
from May until June 30, we can make our
goal. Doesn't sound so difficult does
it? Sign up to help, aim for 3 signatures
a day - EASY!
IMPORTANT EVENT:
Frontier Days Parade: We can
probably get 1,000 signatures at the Frontier
Days Fair and the best day and time is working
the parade route BEFORE the parade
begins. We need at least 20 circulators
to accomplish this! If you are willing to
help us on this one day, please help! The
Parade is Thursday, May
31. The parade starts at 6:30 pm
so we be collecting signatures from
5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Please
contact Marcia! The fair is May 31-June
3rd. After the parade, we would like to
set up stations at the entry points to collect
signatures. We feel being stationed at
the entries on Friday (June 1st) and
Saturday (June 2nd) from 2 pm to 8 pm
would prove beneficial, second to the
parade.

Restore Ohio Weekend VotingThey're at it again. They are also up to their old tricks to stop you this November from making it easier and more convenient to vote. Democracy shouldn't be this hard, but these extremists don't want you to vote. They passed a law last year to close the window of opportunity to vote early or by absentee. We didn’t take this voter suppression sitting down. Hundreds of thousands of voters collected signatures to repeal this law just like we did last year with Senate Bill 5, the unfair, unsafe attack on us all. Now, these politicians are saying Senate Bill 295 will repeal the anti-voting rights law, but the truth is it won't. You still will not be able to vote on the weekend and Monday prior to Election Day. In 2008, tens of thousands of voters cast their ballots, but this year the voting booths will be padlocked on those days. SB 295 continues to limit voting rights and opportunities for all voters and is NOT a true repeal. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Support our view of freedom or we’ll throw your lying, anti-patriotic ass in jail
You hear a lot of talk about patriotism and freedom in an election year. Each side of a political contest claims a monopoly on both buzzwords. But do those who bandy about claims of freedom and patriotism really understand either concept? One would hope they do but based on the way too many use...

How Corporations and Local Governments Use the Poor As Piggy Banks
This story first appeared on the Tom Dispatch website.
Individually the poor are not too tempting to thieves, for obvious reasons. Mug a banker and you might score a wallet containing a month's rent. Mug a janitor and you will be lucky to get away with bus fare to flee the crime scene. But...
